Hello, everyone!

We at Dog Breed Cartoon would like to wish you Happy Christmas and New Year!

To celebrate the holidays and our friendship, we’ve prepared a gift for you all! We want to promote our friends and show just how special and interesting they are! With that in mind, we’ve created the EncycloPAWdia Meet the Breeds!

Check out how we’ve cartoonized your favorite breed and learn new things about our lovely dogs! Find out their basic traits and interesting characteristics! You can download the full eBook on our site or down below. Here’s a little sneak peek!

Chinook – A friendly sled dog

The breed was developed by an adventurer Arthur Walden, of Wonalancet, New Hampshire. He wanted to make a perfect sled dog and created the breed he named after the lead dog of his sled team – Chinook. Chinook has the strength of an excellent freighting dog and the speed of sled racer. These dogs are working dogs eager to please, and they can be easily trained. Positive reinforcement techniques work best for this breed.

They excel at sledding, carting, obedience, agility, search-and-rescue work, and herding. These are very calm, friendly and people-oriented dogs who get along well with kids. Because of their nature, no matter how much you train them, they won’t make good guard dogs. They are active dogs with lots of energy, and they need daily exercise. Chinook fits great with people who love long walks, hiking and bicycle rides. Grooming is easy, weekly brushing of the plush double coat to remove dirt and loose hair will do the trick.

I was SOOOO excited when I saw there was an EncycloPAWdia and downloaded it immediately…which I shouldn’t have done and should’ve known better….once again, the under rated, easily forgotten about, Alaskan Malamute, wasn’t in it or listed. It’s a typical thing I feel and it truly breaks my heart. I will admit before getting mine, which I only got because I was saving him from his previous owners, I knew NOTHING about them and in fact never even heard of them. Now however, because of my sweet furbaby, I have found the ONLY breed of furby i will ever own for eternity. I just wish others could also remember or at least somewhat think of them. They’re always left out, or portrayed negatively and it’s so sad. Ok….enough of my rambling the point is, you should do an edited or updated version of this and when and if you do, please dont forget to include the Alaskan Malamute. Thank you!!!
